The FS CO-COOL series fibre discs from Pferd Tools combine self-sharpening ceramic abrasive grains with active grinding additives. This high-performance combination enables high material removal whilst minimising build-up of material and reducing heat generation. A range of diameters and grit sizes allows for optimal adaptation to various grinding and machining stages.

 

Features:

The FS fibre discs in the CO-COOL ceramic-grain version are based on a self-sharpening ceramic abrasive. During use, new sharp cutting edges are continuously formed, ensuring a consistently high rate of material removal. This version is particularly suitable for demanding grinding work on hard materials or materials with low thermal conductivity.

CO-COOL technology incorporates active grinding additives that further increase material removal whilst reducing disc clogging. Furthermore, heat build-up during grinding is significantly minimised, which is particularly advantageous for heat-sensitive materials such as certain stainless steels. The high-quality grinding grain also ensures a uniform surface finish. The flexible structure of the fibre disc allows it to adapt perfectly to workpiece contours.

When used with a suitable backing pad, the disc adapts perfectly to both flat and slightly curved surfaces. Backing pads must be ordered separately. The range includes versions with and without slots.
