The MHZL2 parallel gripper belongs to the MHZ series designed by SMC for the pneumatic gripping of industrial parts. The model stands out for an extended opening and closing stroke, available in four bores from 10 mm to 25 mm.

Featuring an integrated linear guide and a stroke almost twice that of a standard model, this gripping cylinder broadens gripping possibilities on production lines. Four bores, from 10 mm to 25 mm, cover a wide range of assembly configurations.

Features:
Operation is based on compressed air supply, with no lubrication required. An integrated linear guide limits slippage thanks to two foot mounting holes, while martensitic stainless steel guidance strengthens mechanical performance over time. The centring bores benefit from increased depth compared with conventional models, improving repositioning accuracy after disassembly. Five mounting methods and three mounting directions, in-line, side and vertical, broaden integration possibilities on a machine or cell.

Several types of finger are available: standard with tapped hole, side tapped holes, through holes and flat fingers, allowing the grip to be adapted to the geometry of the parts being handled. The body is available in a standard version or with a centring pin; the latter accepts different outputs: instant fitting for coaxial tube, simple instant fitting, M3 port or M5 port. The function operates in double-acting or single-acting mode, normally open or normally closed depending on the chosen configuration. A static magnetic detector, in 2-wire or 3-wire version, can be added for finger position monitoring.
