Due to a special braid structure the advantages that this material offers (low thermal expansion and excellent heat conduction) are optimally exploited. It is a very flexible packing and seals reliably with a minimum of gland pressure, even against thin liquid media that have a tendency to creep. It can also withstand dry friction up to a certain limit.
