Detalii produs : CDG3BN20-100 SMC - SMC CDG3BN20-100 AIR CYLINDER
The SMC CG3 pneumatic cylinders are a range of short, double-acting, single-rod cylinders, available in eight bores from 20 mm to 100 mm. This series stands out for its reduced overall dimensions, with an overall length up to 51 mm shorter and a weight up to 24 % lower than the existing CG1 model.
Features:
The CG3 series operates as double acting with a single rod and does not require lubrication. End-of-stroke cushioning relies on a rubber bumper, fitted across the full range of bores.
Three rod-end configurations are available: standard male thread, long male thread matching the dimensions of the CG1 series, and female thread. Five mounting types complete the offer: basic mounting, foot, front flange, rear flange and clevis.
Models with an integrated magnet (CDG3) accept a wide range of position sensors, with or without diagnostic indication, mounted on the cylinder body by means of a suitable collar-type mounting bracket adapted to the bore and the sensor model.
Specifications:

- Mounting material: carbon steel for bores 20 to 63 mm, cast iron for bores 80 and 100 mm, with nickel plating surface treatment.
- Rod nut: carbon steel with zinc chromate plating.
Standards:
- RoHS: compliance with this directive limits the presence of certain hazardous substances in the manufacture of the product, which facilitates its integration into environments subject to environmental regulatory requirements.

Puncte forte
- An overall length reduced by up to 51 mm makes integration into confined spaces easier.
- A lighter weight of up to 24 % limits the load applied to supporting structures and handling equipment.
- The absence of lubrication simplifies routine maintenance operations.
- The rubber bumper softens end-of-stroke impacts and protects internal components.
- Compatibility of models with an integrated magnet with position sensors makes it easier to monitor the operating cycle.
- The range of mounting options available (basic, foot, flange, clevis) adapts the installation to different mechanical configurations.

Aplicații
This type of cylinder is suited to industrial automation lines where the space available around actuators remains limited, particularly on packaging machines, conveyors and assembly stations. The reduced overall length and weight compared with the CG1 model also make it easier to integrate on mobile equipment or compact sub-assemblies, such as certain gripping or positioning tooling.
